2013 IP Moot Court
The Intellectual Property Rights Moot Court Competition is an annual competition for law students and is open to teams of two to five students from Armenian law schools throughout Armenia.
Students are provided with a hypothetical problem involving a dispute between two parties over intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, etc.) and are expected to write two briefs (on behalf of the plaintiff and the respondent).
They then argue the case before a panel of volunteer judges. The panel consists of local lawyers and judges who donate their time and expertise.
The IP Moot Court Competition provides law students with practical experience, emphasizing the importance of intellectual property rights to the legal and economic development of the country.
